Adrian's singing Maples performed well at the 2017 State Choral Festival. The event was held April 28th at Holt High School. Adrian's Lady Blues choral group earned the highest score of 1, while the AHS Concert Choir received a rating of 2. Our high school choirs either met or exceeded Michigan vocal standards. Middle school choirs perform at the state competition, but do not receive a formal score. “Based on the judge's remarks and circled numbers, though,” said 6th, 7th and 8th grade Choir Director Barb Schenck, “the Lady Singers would have received a 1. Men In Sync and Ladies Choir had a mix of ones and twos.” “The greatest part of the day was hearing the college professors say that they were impressed with all the Adrian choirs,” said Mrs. Schenck. “They even shared with our parents that our choirs performed beautifully and represented Adrian wonderfully. I couldn't be more proud of our students.”
