Take a guess: how much money did the Adrian Music Boosters give to music students, to music instructors and to the community during the 2015-2016 school year?
The answer: $17,031. That money was used in several ways:
More than half the money we raised was deposited into the personal Booster accounts of AHS band, choir and orchestra students, who can then use that money to defray the costs of music-related camps and field trips, instrument repair, private lessons, and more. Another $4,000 was donated to pay for the plans necessary for the improvements to Maple Stadium. The Adrian Music Boosters serve an important role in our schools and our community, raising money and awareness, and providing support for vocal and instrumental music students and instructors. But we need your help. We're looking for people who believe in the value of music education; people who want to make a difference; people with a specific skill to share or just a few hours to spare. If you believe in our town and want to invest some of yourself in order to make it an ever better place to live and raise a family, we're looking for you. For more details, email Laura Morris or come to our next monthly meeting - the second Monday of each month at 7pm in the high school band room. Become an Adrian Music Booster. Minor commitment. Major rewards.
