Inspiration from Musician Liz Longley

As a young girl, Liz Longley was a music student. Piano lessons. Guitar lessons. And like any great musician, she's still a student of music, learning with every new song she writes; every gig she plays. 

Miss Longley grew up near Philadelphia, a town with a sound all its own. She moved to Boston to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Now she lives in Music City - Nashville. 

In her late '20s, she's already released five albums. The latest is Weightless. Both in her recordings and live on stage, Longley's voice moves easily from powerful belt to intimate breathiness as she sings stories inspired by her own life and relationships. 

On August 12th, Liz Longley played a show at The Ark, Ann Arbor's renowned listening room. She generously took time after her set to share the video message above with Adrian music students.
