The Marching Band's 2017 Elementary Tour

We've heard many marching band members say it's their favorite event of the entire marching season: The Elementary School Tour. 

Each year in late October, the Marching Maples take their show to Alexander, Lincoln, Michener, Prairie and Springbrook schools. They entertain the students and teachers, filling their small gyms with a big marching band sound, and filling more than a few young minds with dreams of one day being a part of that band.

Mr. Kesterke emcees each show, talking with the audience about the instruments and how they all work together. He even gives one student at each school the chance to play a marching tuba. It's an opportunity to inspire our next generation of musicians. And judging by the audience's reaction each year, it's working.
